Mark may be found jamming with his bass, but seldom with the instrument he has in this portrait. It was too good an opportunity to miss.

Anne Marie

· 1st May, 2011 · 4:34 pm · Portrait

Our good friend Anne Marie is a dab hand in the garden and she grows exotic (to these parts) produce with ease. Her kiwi quarter acre in Otaki is as rich with goodness as she is with generosity. We celebrated Easter with roast lamb supplied by us and fresh veges supplied by her.

Here's Hazel

· 29th April, 2011 · 4:55 pm · Children, Portrait

Meet Hazel, our little friend from Christchurch. Hazel and her grandmother had a few days respite from the aftershocks in Christchurch with us recently and so we decided to create some surprise portraits for Hazels mum. Needless to say she loved them!

Jack, Molly & Charlie rock!

· 2nd April, 2011 · 5:05 pm · Children, Portrait, , ,

These kids are great, and they live in a very beautiful part of New Zealand – Central Otago. Their mum and dad just wanted some relaxed and fun portrait images taken in their back garden. This was late afternoon while we waited for the BBQ to warm up!

· 17th March, 2011 · 5:33 pm · Wedding, , , ,

Sam and Meg celebrated their wedding with a beautiful ceremony in the very well known St Peters Church, Queenstown, followed by a magnificent wedding reception held at The Farmhouse Kitchen, Gibbston Valley. It was a fantastic late summer afternoon and the vineyards were looking good too!

Siobhan and Alex

· 12th January, 2011 · 12:58 pm · Wedding, , , , ,

Siobhan and Alex were married at the beautiful Monaco Resort in Nelson, on a warm summers day in early January. They were radiant and its easy to see how much in love they are from their wedding photographs. The resort is a great place for a wedding and it offers many opportunities for beautiful images too.

Rebekah and Ryan

· 12th November, 2010 · 1:17 pm · Wedding, , , , ,

Rebekah and Ryan were married at Chateau Tongariro which is another location that offers many opportunities for memorable wedding images of this most special of days. The property is expansive enough that regardless of the weather or the time of day there are plentiful options for portraits of the bride and groom and other members of the wedding party.

About Lasting Expressions

Lasting Expressions Photography is a boutique portrait and family photography studio where people and photography are our passion. We have bases on the Kapiti Coast and in Wellington City and we work on location throughout the greater Wellington region and beyond. We have covered weddings in the pacific islands, completed a documentary photography project in Mexico with Global Tribe and carried out environmental portraiture projects in USA.

A key to successful photography is establishing a solid rapport with people, but also blending into the background when appropriate (weddings are a great example of when both skill sets are required). Confidence translates into comfort, allowing you to relax in the knowledge that everything is under control. With the greatest of care we provide you photography that we hope will surpass your expectations. Capturing life, for life, is all about recording the intimacy, emotion, detail and energy of the moment.
Check out what our clients have been saying.
Grant also offers a boutique photographic service for a very select number of weddings each year.
